Monster Energy Car from Zambia

Monster Energy Theme Car 23

Today’s post is from my friend Joseph from Zambia. He has sent me much more stuff that I could enter into one article so you could expect more later on. Now just enjoy simple tutorial with lots of pictures. I first heard about airbrushing in 2006 when I was in college, I spent a lot of time on the net you-tubing any and everything I could on airbrushing, I spent 3 years researching, reading and googling airbrushing, from what an airbrush is, how it works, what paint to use, tech nicks, tricks and tips, how to maintain it, where to get one, what problem they usually have.

Airbrush Designs from Steven Lane

Today’s story is from Steven Lane, Australian artist, who started using airbrush just a while ago but already loves it. What is also interesting is that he does not limit himself to some special “one” particular style and I feel like he may give you some motivation to try something new. It’s also a help to someone with imagination or perhaps brings back the inspiration. Steven Lane will show us some of his airbrush designs and will tell us his story.

Street Art Airbrush from Per Corell

Not that long ago I received a message from Danish Street Artist name Per Corell who decided to share something with me and readers of my blog. It was a working concept of his Street Airbrush. He gave me a link to YouTube where I could see these videos about building a Street Airbrush (probably the best and cheapest you have ever seen). It is a plain garden-sprayer with a hand pump as a compressor and a cheap, one function airbrush put in instead of the garden-sprayers hose and nozzle. All in all under one hour of work and you can build such system for under $30.

Painting Guitar (video)

Have you ever got into a trouble painting a guitar? Today’s post has taken more than over two weeks to come out even though the final piece could have been already done; it was actually done in two days but let me tell you everything step by step. My brother received an order to paint one of those Jacksons guitars (Kelly model) from one of his friend. The order has been very specific – it had to be dark theme or I would say as much “black” as possible. First of all every project needs some concept design. So design has been made as customer said “I leave you a free hand, do whatever you think might look cool“. We also made a video which is also available in HD, so if you don’t like to read much text then watch it first.

Airbrush Shockwave from Eastern Europe

Today we have a Citizen of Russia, born in Yakutia and living in Ukraine an Airbrush artist named SHOCKWAVE. For real it is very beautiful girl and her name is Olga. Enjoy her story and her art. The first time I’ve found airbrush in one article from magazine about cars in 1999 or maybe in some airbrush magazines after year 2000. I saw pictures of work from Ilnur Mansurov, at that time first of his works. I’ve been so affected that I decided I have to try. But I forgot about it at least until 2005 when I met a man who is friend with a car painter. At that time I had a chance to hold an airbrush gun for the first time in my life. This was the day I’ve decided on my future profession despite the fact that I was already studying computer graphic design and advertising. Today I’ve got the diploma already.

Vinylography Or Airbrushing On Vinyl Foil

Airbrush on vinyl 21

What is Vinylography? Perhaps you may have heard of airbrushing on vinyl foil or at least about vinyl. Very often in airbrushing vinyl has been used for stenciling but some manufacturers went further and created a special foil that can be painted first in comfort of your home and then just been taken out and placed onto your car. Easy, comfortable and it will give additional protection for your car hood and you can take it off after some time if you don’t like it and your old coat will be still there as new.

Camouflage Reference and Stencils

Camouflage pattern 5

A long time ago I’ve prepared a reference pack to download with a name Camouflage and actually I have forgotten about it. Last week I’ve received an email from one subscriber named Marc. He was asking about digital camouflage stencils. So I jumped on that topic and decided to create a few stencils. After some time spent creating them I realized I’ve had reference material, so I decided to add that to today’s article too. But what kind of article would it be if it had just pictures. Today I’m going to include some preview of references with option to download, also a preview of stencils with the option to download and at last some description, recommendations, “how to”, history and a very useful links that will help you with everything around this type of painting.

J.W. Baker – Fantasy and Wildlife Art

JWBaker

Some time ago I got in touch with one very specific and great artist. His name is J W Baker. He represents one half of the artistic duo Wolf Song Studio. The other half is his wife Sandi Baker. J.W. has been painting all his life and believes that the purpose of art is communication. “I have been actively communicating throughout my life through my art. For me, art in whatever medium has always been my most effective means of communicating the inspirations and observations I believe worthy of commentary”. Art transcends the ambiguity of language – a single painting can speak volumes. Tweet This! To create his works he uses both Acrylics and Oils.
